Lady Mariam Warns Nobat Events: “Involving Hon. Phionah Nyamutoro is a Dangerous Line to Cross”


Renowned singer and Tindatine hitmaker, Lady Mariam, has weighed in on the escalating tension between self-proclaimed generational promoter Nobat Events and UNMF President Eddy Kenzo, urging for restraint and discernment — especially when it comes to family.


In a candid TikTok video making rounds on social media, Lady Mariam delivered a stern warning to Nobat Events, specifically calling him out for dragging Hon. Phionah Nyamutoro — a public figure and partner to Eddy Kenzo — into the ongoing feud.


“Insult Kenzo all you want, that’s your battle,” she stated. “But when you start involving his wife, you cross into dangerous territory. A man will go to great lengths to protect the dignity of his partner — even if it means hiring goons to ‘discipline’ someone.”


Lady Mariam emphasized the cultural and emotional weight carried when a man’s wife is publicly ridiculed, saying, “The anger of a man whose wife has been disrespected is different — it burns deeper, and the consequences can be severe.”



Her comments have sparked debate online, with many applauding her for speaking boldly on a matter that has steadily grown more personal and volatile.

Planned Traffic Flow Changes at Karuma Bridge along Kampala—Gulu Highway

  Karuma Bridge The Government of Uganda through the Uganda National Roads Authority [UNRA] has engaged a consultant to conduct a diagnostic study of the Karuma bridge along the Kampala—Gulu Highway.  The study aims to assess the current condition and remaining lifespan of the bridge. The findings will inform potential interventions to reinforce the bridge, ensuring its longevity as plans for a new bridge take shape. To gather the necessary data, the consultant will conduct detailed inspections and measurements to ensure collection of reliable information. This will necessitate closing part of the bridge for short periods, to allow the consultant carry out the assessments safely. In the near future, following adequate consultations with the relevant stakeholders and to be able to undertake this critical assignment on the National Road Network, we will notify the general public on the changes in traffic flow at Karuma Bridge.
